THE TASK AT HAND

I was commissioned by Atlanta Downtown to document the creation of a large-scale mural in the heart of the city, painted by the team at ABV Agency. The project called for in-progress coverage of the mural’s development, followed by a return visit to capture the finished piece—serving both as visual documentation and dynamic content for social media.

I approached the shoot with a documentary lens, focusing on the human side of the process—candid moments, layered textures, and the scale of the work coming to life in real time. I also captured a few informal portraits along the way to highlight the personality and rhythm of the ABV team.

As a longtime fan of public art and mural work, it was a rewarding chance to witness and photograph the behind-the-scenes flow of a mural from start to finish—especially one that now lives permanently in a space I frequent often.
